Commonwealth Games 2014 Opening Ceremony

There is not much time left for the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth games to start. Queen will formally announce the games open at Celtic Park , Glasgow. A crowd of around 40,000 spectators is expected to watch the opening ceremony of the games. Millions of people will watch the ceremony live on TV from various parts of the globe.

As is the ritual for every major competition, the players from various participating nations will parade in the opening ceremony along with some performance from local and international groups. The previous host nation will lead the parade and the current hosts will be the last in the parade. Today will be the day for opening ceremony only. From tomorrow we'll see 10 full days of sporting events.

Our best wishes to all the participating nations and athletes.
