Commonwelath Games 2010 - First Green Commonweath Games

Chairman of the organizing committee of the 2010 Commonwealth Games, Suresh Kalmadi has announced that commonealth games this time would be a focussing on environment and will focus on reducing the carbon footprint to hold the first-ever Green Commonwealth Games. This step could prove to be a benchmark for other majot sporting events to be held in future. Kalmadi annouced that India will invest in green infrastructure and pro-active waste management.
